Bob LaPalme, RVI Member & Chairman
Bob LaPalme is a Financial Consultant specializing in the areas of Financial Analysis and Mergers & Acquisitions. He has over 30 years of experience in financial leadership positions with manufacturing organizations. As Chief Financial Officer of Jen-Coat, Inc. in Westfield MA, Bob was responsible for finance, accounting, treasury management, information technology, human resource, and risk management. He was involved in both the buy and sell side of M&A transactions and maintained relationships with equity partners and lenders. As a member of RVI for the past several years, Bob has participated in the evaluation of numerous startups, many of which have resulted in successfully closed deals. He also served as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees of Noble Hospital in Westfield MA. Bob holds a B.B.A and M.S.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management.
Paul G. Silva, RVI Manager
Paul also serves as Executive Director and co-founder of Valley Venture Mentors, a startup accelerator based in Western Massachusetts. Paul is a former board member of the Angel Capital Association. He is a lead instructor for Lean Launchpad: Pioneer Valley, board member at Click Workspace, adviser to the UMass Amherst Entreclub and the Smith College Draper Competition. In 2000 he co-founded All inPlay, a company creating software that helps the blind socialize with their fully sighted friends and families as equals.
Marcie Muehlke, RVI Associate Manager
Marcie Muehlke is a seasoned project manager, entrepreneur, and nonprofit manager with 10 years of experience in the US and abroad. She helps manage River Valley Investors and is CEO of Celia Grace, a social enterprise bridal brand. Marcie holds an MBA and Masters in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
Jake Hawkesworth, RVI Assistant Manager
Jake Hawkesworth manages the technical infrastructure for River Valley Investors from his home in Boulder, Colorado. He founded a late-night mobile food service company in South Amherst called The Night Truck. He holds an Masters in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College.
